Mirror your Mac or Windows desktop to your tablet and draw on it with a stylus. This policy explains what data InkMirror does and doesn't handle.
Summary
InkMirror mirrors your Windows or macOS desktop to your tablet over your own local network and lets you draw on it with the S Pen. The mirror video and your ink travel directly between your devices — encrypted, on your LAN — and never touch our servers. We show ads through Google AdMob for free users, offer optional premium subscriptions, and use Google Firebase for an anonymous account that stores your subscription entitlement and promo-code redemptions. We do not run analytics and we cannot see your screen, your drawings, your recordings, or your streams.
Information processed on your device
- Screen mirror & ink — the mirrored video and your pen strokes travel directly between your tablet and your desktop over your local Wi-Fi/USB network, encrypted with WebRTC (DTLS-SRTP). They are never sent to us or any third party.
- Recordings — screen recordings (with your ink and audio) are created and saved on your own desktop computer. They never leave it unless you share them.
- Settings — tool choices, colors, and preferences are stored locally on your tablet.
Information we collect
To keep InkMirror reliable we collect a limited amount of data through Google Firebase. It is used in aggregate to fix bugs and improve the app, and is not used to personally identify you:
- Anonymous account — the app signs in to Google Firebase anonymously (a random identifier; no name, email, or profile) so your premium entitlement can follow reinstalls.
- Subscription & promo-code records — your premium status (e.g. an active trial or lifetime unlock) and which promo codes this anonymous account has redeemed, stored in Google Firebase so purchases and codes work reliably.
- Feature settings — the app reads a small remote configuration (which features are free or premium). Nothing about you is written by this.
Live streaming — if you use the desktop app's Go Live feature, your composited screen is streamed from your desktop directly to the platform you choose (e.g. Facebook Live) using the stream key you paste. We are not part of that connection and never see your stream or your stream key.
Purchases — payments are processed entirely by Google Play. Play purchases are linked to your anonymous account using a one-way hashed identifier, so we never see your Google account or payment details.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
InkMirror shows ads via Google AdMob. To serve ads, Google may collect and process device identifiers (including the advertising ID), IP address, and ad-interaction data, as described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and the Google Privacy Policy.
Your choices & consent
- In the EEA, UK, and Switzerland we request consent for personalized ads through Google's certified consent flow (UMP) on first launch.
- You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of ad personalization in your device settings.
In-app purchases
InkMirror may offer optional in-app purchases (for example, to support development). Payments are handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play; we never receive or store your payment details.
Third-party services
- Google Firebase (Crashlytics, Analytics, and related services) — Firebase privacy & security
- Google AdMob — Google Privacy Policy
- Apple App Store / Google Play — payment processing for in-app purchases
Children
InkMirror is a general-audience app and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Data security & retention
Data stored on your device is protected by your device's own security and is removed when you delete it or uninstall the app. Diagnostic and analytics data is retained by Google/Firebase according to their policies.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes are reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
