What you need

Most support questions turn out to be a missing requirement, so it is worth checking these first:

Frequently asked questions

How do I connect?

Start mirroring in the desktop app; it shows a 6-digit pairing code. Open InkMirror on the tablet, pick your computer from the list, and type that code. If your network blocks discovery, tap “Enter address manually” and type the IP address the desktop app displays.

My computer doesn't appear in the list.

Almost always one of three things: the two devices are on different networks (guest Wi-Fi and a 5 GHz/2.4 GHz split count as different), the desktop app isn't mirroring yet, or Local Network permission was declined on iPad. Some networks block the mDNS discovery InkMirror uses — the manual IP entry works in that case.

Where are my recordings?

On your computer, not the tablet. The desktop app composites your ink over the screen and writes the MP4 locally, which is why recordings keep full quality and never pass through us.

My drawing is ignored / only the pen works.

The app is pen-only by default so you can rest your hand on the screen without leaving marks. To draw with a finger as well, tap the hand icon in the drawing toolbar, or turn on “Draw with finger” in Settings. The pen always wins when both touch at once.

Can I connect two tablets to one computer?

Not at the same time — one tablet per desktop. Connecting a second tablet disconnects the first.

The mirror pauses when I switch apps.

That is expected. Mobile operating systems suspend background apps, so InkMirror closes the session deliberately when you leave and reconnects automatically when you come back.

I bought premium but the app still shows Free.

Open Settings and tap Restore Purchases. Entitlements are tied to the store account that made the purchase, so make sure you are signed in with the same one. If it still doesn't appear, email us with your store receipt.

I have a promo code.

On iPad, tap Redeem a code on the Premium screen — this opens Apple's redemption sheet. On Galaxy Tab, enter it in the “Have a promo code?” field on the Premium screen.

Refunds & subscriptions

Purchases and subscriptions are billed by the store you bought from. Manage or cancel a subscription in your store account (App Store: Settings → your name → Subscriptions; Google Play: Payments & subscriptions). Refunds follow the store's policy — use Apple's Report a Problem or the Google Play refund process.
